Community Hall (SN14 7AF)

The Community Hall was built on the old village hall site and opened in 2000 with funding from many sources. It is situated in North Wraxall village near the crossroads of the North/Upper Wraxall road and the Fosse Way.

The Hall has charitable status and is run by a Management Committee of elected and co-opted Trustees. The Committee organises a variety of educational, cultural and social events for the benefit of the community.

In the grounds is a children’s play area and grassed areas in front of and behind the Hall. It also provides the location for the Community Book Exchange (‘Book Bank’) in a redundant red telephone box and a museum of antique and restored agricultural implements. The Hall is accessible for wheelchair users and has a car park.

The Management Committee, along with other Parish groups and individuals, is involved in organising events, many of which are based at the Community Hall, including the annual inter-village quiz, summer party and occasional ‘Rural Arts Touring’ evenings.

In term time, from Mondays to Fridays during the day, the Hall is occupied by the North Wraxall Pre-School but in school holidays and in the evenings it is available for use/hire by others for meetings, activities.
